My journey began as a systems technician and field installer with York University in 2010 where I helped to implement technology into classrooms and meet with clients to discuss their questions or concerns with respect to the equipment.

Audiovisual Designer
By 2013, I took the knowledge I had acquired as a field installer and began implementing GUI and technology standards for the classrooms to provide a more unified and seamless experience to our clients. I assisted in putting together and conducting a survey of the faculty and staff across the university to gain a more holistic view of the campus and its user base.

After 8 years at York University, I decided to make a career change that led me to the University of Toronto. Here, I work collaboratively with a group of like minded individuals who only want to deliver the best experience possible to the university community.
I have worked with the team to develop new standards and documentation processes for booking, ticket intake, and had input on room design and specialty GUI design as well as sat in on a number of hiring committees.

After 3 years working with the audio-visual team at UTM, I was given the opportunity to expand my skills and become coordinator of the department where I work with our clients and technicians in a more supervisory role.

After taking a number of courses with the University of Toronto, I have found my home in the Faculty of Information where I am studying as a graduate student with a specialization in Information Systems Design with a collaborative specialization in Environmental Studies.

In December of 2021, I was given an opportunity to manage our technical team in the Classroom Technology department at UTM and also work to design client-centric solutions for our events and classrooms.
